For most people, Covid 19 and the resulting work from home order sent parents into a tail spin. Even for people who work from home with older children, they’re used to being able to send that child off to school or daycare, even if it’s just for a few days a week. Me? I was working from home with a baby/toddler hanging off of me since I started my online gig in 2017.

Two years ago, I put got a copper intrauterine device (IUD) put in and almost immediately, my skin went on a rampage. Acne like I had never experienced before (That story is here). When I finally got the breakouts and waves of inflammation under control, my skin was left uneven, blotchy, dry and generally just looking awful and rough. A friend of mine who swore by the The Ordinary’ line suggested I try it and I did. I started using this toner in one full year in the daytime (I use Ole Hendrikson Glow OH Dark Spot Toner at nights) and I feel equipped to review the timer in full.

Do you guys argue?

I get this question a LOT. Partly due to the fact anyone who knows my husband or has been in any proximity to him knows his general demeanour and disposition. Of course, people who know mine are a little more sceptical that the answer to the question would be ‘no’, but even then sometimes, it proves hard for others to overlook my husband almost unbothered approach to most things. They still wonder if I ‘mellow out’ with him.

By now, I’ve been awake for a few hours. Yesterday was Mother’s Day and if we’re being honest, I spent it in bed. All of it. Right there is where my husband brought me coffee, showed me my gift and later brought me dinner. I roamed Netflix, social media every now and again and barely dredged up enough energy to respond to all the mother day wishes and make wishes of my own. Just barely.
