Daily Reids VlogBlog 1: Random Family Life Update

Hey, guysss! It’s Q4 already. The final quarter or 2019. I hate to say it, but I’ve found myself in a dry patch where blog posts are concerned. I am at a loss with topics and though I try not to ‘post just to post’, that’s exactly what I’m doing right now and I have no idea where this post is going. I wanted to connect with you guys on a conversational level. Just to see how everyone is getting on.

For me, my household is a hot mess. Most of the time, I feel like I barely have a handle on it, let alone keeping it together. Boobles in his final year of post graduate studies. That means we hardly see him, and when we do, he’s either rushing out or dragging a near comatose body in. Rare full days are mostly spent lounging around and napping.

I try to keep the house afloat. Laundry, cleaning, homeschooling, cooking, working, exercising, staying cute, yaddi yaddi yadda. Mind you, most days, something (or two, or three, or even five) gets bumped off the list. Days when I get it all in are RARE and I feel like superwoman.

Sio is a joyful noise bucket, wall colouring, boundary testing, magical kid. We bicker daily, and all too often I find myself on the losing end of the stick because, alas, my two-year old has discovered the power in an apology. Half the time I think she is genuinely feeling a little sorry, the other half I just know its more of a ‘Don’t you dare be angry at me right now’ type of flex. I lose 100% of the time.

I can’t believe she turns three in a few days! Do you guys remember my first post? Yup! It’s been three years. You guys have watched me become a mom. Last night, we walked into the house and she turned on the lights on tippy toes, without her trusted step up chair. I almost bawled. My baby! Mi one pop!

For the Reid’s Libra Weekend (Sio & Babe’s Birthday)?, we’ve planned some much needed family time. I want to get her some Peppa Pig themed gifts. She’s crazy about that ugly pig and I can’t wait to see her joy when she sees them.

I’ve rambled on enough. So that’s what’s going on on the home front. I’ve rambled. How are you guys doing on the final stretch of 2019?

See in my next (hopefully more structured) post 🤣
